Dessert plate | LUXEMBOURG GARDEN CHAIR
Description
The dessert plate is ideal for enjoying a treat at the end of a meal or at tea time. It can also be used as a cheese plate.
Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Medici, the Jardin du Luxembourg is one of the springtime rendezvous for lovers of Paris. Marin Montagut captures it with one of its most famous accessories: its emblematic green chair, the CHAISE DU LUXEMBOURG . The watercolor illustration is here in the form of a small porcelain plate.
Marin Montagut works on each of his tableware models, drawing inspiration from old-fashioned French tableware. The tableware, of rare finesse, is made of enameled porcelain. Each model is made by hand, with the ancestral know-how of plaster molds.
The illustrations are affixed in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on site.
The dishes are microwave and dishwasher safe.
